Abu Dhabi Crown Prince meets French President

UAE: Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received visiting French President Francois Hollande and reviewed joint co-operation between the UAE and France in various spheres to serve the common interests of the two countries.

Both sides discussed cultural co-operation, initiatives and projects for safeguarding cultural heritage as well as efforts being made by the two countries in increasing awareness of the importance of protecting historical sites from armed conflicts.

They stressed the importance of the Safeguarding Endangered Cultural Heritage conference which began in Abu Dhabi to highlight the need for ensuring the protection of ancient sites.

The two leaders highlighted strategic partnership that aims to establish security and stability in the region and the values of tolerance, co-existence between states and peoples.
